The latest data released on Tuesday shows that Vietnam is among the top five destinations for foreign travelers looking for tourist attractions in the Asia-Pacific region during the holiday season. The other countries on the list are Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

Surprisingly, South Korean tourists are leading the way in terms of international visitors planning to travel to Vietnam during Tet. This is a change from the usual tourist source markets such as China, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan.

While foreign tourists are flocking to popular cities like Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hanoi, and Phu Quoc, domestic visitors are showing a preference for Da Lat, a charming tourist site located in the Central Highlands region of Vietnam.

It’s interesting to note that many Vietnamese travelers have already booked their holiday tours in Da Lat through Agoda, a popular online travel booking platform.

In addition to Da Lat, other popular destinations for Vietnamese travelers during the Lunar New Year include Bangkok in Thailand, Singapore, Seoul in South Korea, and Tokyo in Japan, according to a recent report by Agoda.
