During the opening night of the 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival, models, artists, and participants presented 15 new collections of ‘ao dai’ – Vietnam’s traditional long gown – created by renowned designers.
They confidently walked down the catwalk to the tune of a specially composed song for the event.
In addition, beauty queens showcased national costume designs that had previously been featured in international beauty competitions.

The Vietnam Records Organization, VietKings, officially recognized the event by awarding it the title of ‘The Longest-Running Ao Dai Festival in Vietnam.’
This prestigious recognition was given to commemorate the festival’s remarkable 10th anniversary.
In his opening speech, Nguyen Van Dung, deputy chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, highlighted that the festival has become a prominent theme in numerous events across the country, serving as a cultural bridge between Vietnam and the world.

Dung proposed that the city continue to promote the event.
The 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival will conclude on March 17.

Ha Long Carnival opens in Quang Ninh
The Ha Long Carnival, a highlight of the Ha Long – Quang Ninh tourism week 2019, opened in Bai Chay and Hon Gai tourism area in the northern province of Quang Ninh on April 28.
