A gala concert “Sac Tham Po Lang” (Colour of Red Cotton Tree), featuring the participation of People’s Artist Vy Hoa and Meritorious Artists Anh Tuyet and Ta Minh Tam, opened the festival.
The event also attracted more than 700 artisans, musicians and performers from the region, and from provinces in the central and Mekong Delta regions. Gong dances and folk music performances with traditional music instruments of different ethnic groups also featured.
A wood sculpture exhibition and workshop is being held at a communal house where tourists and visitors can interact with the artisans and learn crafts from them.
An exhibition introducing the Central Highlands’ cultural heritage took place at the province’s museum.
The festival also included presentations of the region’s traditional rituals, a cuisine fair, a street art festival and traditional games.
The festival runs until December 17.
