On December 23, the Hanoi People’s Committee unveiled their plans for a vibrant celebration. Over 15,000 fireworks will light up the city at multiple outdoor entertainment venues, spreading joy and festive cheer.

As the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve, five locations across Hanoi will come alive with both aerial and ground fireworks displays. The dazzling spectacle will last for 15 minutes, from 12:00 am to 12:15 am on January 1, 2025.

The chosen locations for these dazzling displays include iconic spots such as in front of the Hanoimoi Newspaper Headquarters and Hanoi Post Office, alongside the picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake; the F1 racetrack at My Dinh Stadium for a sporty twist; Van Quan Lake in Ha Dong District, adding a touch of sparkle to the water; Son Tay Citadel in Son Tay Town, where history meets modern celebration; and lastly, the Dong Anh District Sports Center, illuminating the night for fitness enthusiasts.

Continuing the festive spirit, Hanoi will also host fireworks displays on the Vietnamese Lunar New Year Eve, January 28. This time, 30 locations will light up with a combination of aerial and ground fireworks at 10 spots, while the remaining 20 locations will showcase ground-based fireworks, ensuring a vibrant celebration across the city.

The city’s celebrations extend beyond fireworks, with cultural and artistic events taking center stage. A highlight of these festivities is a music festival on the evening of December 31, taking over two iconic squares: Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, where four bustling streets intersect (Le Thai To, Dinh Tien Hoang, Hang Dao, and Cau Go); and August Revolution Square, right in front of the elegant Hanoi Opera House. Adding to the musical delights, a light concert titled “Welcome New Year 2025” will shine at 8:00 pm on January 18, 2025, in front of the Tay Ho District People’s Committee.

Moreover, the “Brilliant Thang Long 2025” program promises a memorable night on January 28, 2025, from 9:00 pm to 11:59 pm, at the F1 racetrack area in front of My Dinh National Stadium, rounding off the celebrations with a bang.
