Travelers of Booking.com are smitten by the picturesque landscapes of Vietnam, as it is filled with truly photogenic destinations that could satisfy anyone’s yearnings for mind-blowing travel photos- from UNESCO-recognized sites to breathtaking mountainous regions.

The Top Three Vietnamese destinations endorsed for photography by global travelers include the ancient town of Hoi An with its popular mustard-colored houses, Sapa surrounded by mountains, terraced rice fields, waterfalls, and streams, and Hanoi known for its bustling Old Quarter.

For travel blogger Priyanko Sarkar from India, despite traveling to many other cities since taking his first international trip some years ago, he always ends up coming back to Hanoi as it is one of the best cities he has ever visited.

“The narrow-winding streets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter Area are a delightful maze that every visitor must get lost in. Street food is also another attractive trait of the capital. From Bun Cha to Pho cuon to Banh mi and the Vietnamese classic dish, Pho, there’s something for everyone in the alleys of Hanoi. Go where the crowds are and you’re sure to discover a gastronomic experience unlike any other,” he suggested.

A recent survey conducted by Booking.com also shows that global travelers also fell in love with Vietnam’s never-ending coastlines of pristine beaches and mountain ranges with gorgeous tiny towns nestled in between.

The beautiful travel spots such as Ha Long, Dalat, Ninh Binh, Danang, and Mui Ne also made it to the top 10 endorsed destinations for photography.

“The best way to get recommendations is from the locals-and Vietnamese travelers have shared their recommendations on where to take the best shots and capture your travel memories,” according to the travel website.

As a result of the survey, Vietnamese travelers also ranked Hoi An as their number one destination for photography in the country, followed by Sa Pa.

Local photography enthusiasts are also fond of getting lost in picturesque urban cities, such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hue as these places carry bustling and majestic vibes, which might add a lot of character and personality to the photographs.

While some photography lovers seek urban centers to get the perfect shot, others turn to beautiful natural wonders for photo inspiration.

Fascinating destinations for nature-lovers include Ninh Binh and Ha Long with their limestone karst landscapes and extensive waterways; pristine beach spots of Danang; serene mountainous destinations of Dalat and Sapa; and the lush greeneries of Tam Dao.

“These destinations provide thrill-seeking and camera-clicking Vietnamese travelers with countless opportunities to capture nice photos which will remind them about their memories later,” the accommodation booking platform stated.

The survey is based on consultations with their clients on the occasion of World Photography Day (August 19), aiming to celebrate the art, craft, science, and history of photography.

The day also encourages photographers from across the globe to share a single photo that encapsulates the world.
