On March 26, the organizers of Miss Grand International announced the top 10 national costume competitions. Vietnam’s runner-up Ngoc Thao in the group was voted by the organizers, with candidates from Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and Panama.
The other five remaining entrants got the most votes from the audience on the social network include Campuchia, Indonesia, Philippines, Guatemala, Ecuador.
Inspired by the art of bonsai, Thao’s costume was named “Lá ngọc cành vàng” (Jade leaves and golden branches), designed by Thai Tin in 5 days. The dress consists of 4 parts: the bodysuit, Vietnamese traditional headwear, the arm’s fringe, and the decorative tree behind the back. Thai Tin also used hundreds of golden mirrors and crystal pieces to make the dress stand out.

A few days ago, Ngoc Thao has also named among the top 20 of the “Best in Swimsuit” competition thanks to the audience’s votes.
This year, the pageant’s organizers select three contestants with the most stunning national costumes, instead of giving the title to only one contestant as before. The results were announced to the final of Miss Grand International in Bangkok on March 27.
