Since the beginning of the twelfth lunar month, numerous households in Vinh Hoa village, located in Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province, have been receiving substantial orders for Chung cakes, a traditional Vietnamese delicacy enjoyed during the Tet holiday. An illustrative case is Tran Thi Loan, who currently has an overwhelming backlog of 9,000 orders and has sought the assistance of her entire family to ensure punctual delivery.

A similar scenario can be observed in every household engaged in the trade within Vinh Hoa village. With only ten days remaining until Tet, the village is abuzz with activity as everyone endeavors to ensure the prompt delivery of chung cakes.

Officially recognized as a craft village specializing in the production of rice noodles, chung cakes, and tofu, Vinh Hoa village provides an average monthly income ranging from $150 to $250 for each resident involved in the trade.

Vinh Hoa’s chung cakes are widely renowned for their exquisite flavors and are cherished by both domestic and international Vietnamese consumers.
