Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the implementation of the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEEC) as a 'historic initiative' to boost regional connectivity and prosperity. During his meeting with United Arab Emirates Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Modi highlighted the potential of IMEEC to foster stronger ties and enhance economic cooperation between India, the Middle East, and Europe. This initiative aims to create a seamless corridor connecting the three regions, facilitating trade, investment, and cultural exchange, ultimately leading to mutual growth and development.

During the talks, PM Modi conveyed his warm wishes to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and expressed satisfaction regarding the frequent high-level exchanges, including the recent visit of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi to India, which underscores the generational continuity in bilateral relations.

According to the official statement, both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, particularly in the realms of technology, energy, and people-to-people ties.

The UAE Foreign Minister shared insights on the situation in West Asia, and Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed India’s commitment to supporting long-term peace, stability, and security in the region.

PM Modi also extended his gratitude to the UAE leadership for their support and welfare of the large Indian community in the UAE.

In a subsequent statement, PM Modi highlighted the shared commitment between the two nations towards achieving peace, stability, and security in West Asia and beyond.

“I am delighted to host the Deputy PM and Foreign Minister of the UAE, HH AB Zayed. The India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is set to reach new heights. We are dedicated to contributing to peace, stability, and security in West Asia and beyond,” said PM Modi.

The UAE Deputy PM’s visit to New Delhi for the 4th Strategic Dialogue and 15th India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting underscores the growing bilateral relations between the two countries.
