The Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival’s closing ceremony was a spectacular event, held on the evening of October 6 at the iconic Thang Long Imperial Citadel. The ceremony celebrated the beauty and culture of the Vietnamese Ao Dai, featuring artistic performances, a fashion show, and a tribute to the talented designers who contributed to the festival.

According to Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Tourism Department, the festival was a resounding success, with the participation of 150 organizations and individuals. The event showcased 100 booths, including 85 renowned designers and Ao Dai brands from Hanoi and Hue, as well as accessory vendors and travel agencies. Hanoi Tourism Corporation, Vietjet Air, and cultural conservation centers were among those present, showcasing the best of Vietnamese tourism and craftsmanship.
“The Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival has become a celebrated event in our city,” said Hong Minh. “After three years, it has established itself as a prominent celebration of our cultural heritage, with the Ao Dai taking center stage. It has become an annual highlight, attracting visitors from near and far to our beautiful capital.”

The festival attracted 63,000 visitors, a remarkable turnout that included locals, domestic tourists, and international guests. The three-day event commenced with an exciting opening ceremony on October 4, followed by the Ao Dai Carnival on October 5. The carnival, with its theme of “Empowering Women for Hanoi’s Integration and Development,” saw the participation of 1,000 women from the city, showcasing the strength and beauty of Vietnamese women.

The festival also featured dedicated spaces for exhibitions, including Ao Dai photo displays, traditional craftsmanship demonstrations, and showcases of tourism products and services. The festival aimed to promote Hanoi and Vietnam as a desirable destination, emphasizing its safety, friendliness, and the quality of its attractions and craftsmanship.
