The six-day cultural exchange program between Long An and Chungcheongnam Province concluded on June 30, with the participation of 16 students from both regions. The event was a collaboration between the provinces’ youth unions, bringing together students from Nguyen Trung Truc High School in Ben Luc and Bo De Phuong Duy School in Thu Thua.
Throughout the program, the students engaged in a variety of activities designed to foster cultural understanding and community service. They decorated reading rooms, planted trees, visited the Long An Monument Park, and learned how to cook delicious Korean and Vietnamese cuisine. These interactive experiences provided a unique opportunity for the youths to immerse themselves in each other’s cultural traditions and create lasting memories.
Yu Jison, a participant from the Republic of Korea, shared her appreciation for the program, stating that it provided a meaningful platform for cultural learning and exchange. She expressed how the participants not only gained knowledge about each other’s cultures but also shared their dreams and formed valuable friendships. Jison looked forward to future volunteer initiatives and cultural interactions between the two provinces.
Pham Van Hau, Deputy Secretary of the Long An provincial youth union, echoed similar sentiments. He believed that the success of the program laid a strong foundation for future collaborations. He emphasized how these joint activities contribute to strengthening the bond of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, particularly among the youth of Long An and Chungcheongnam Province.
