Australian travelers Becclar and her boyfriend had an incredible journey through Vietnam. They began their trip in Hanoi, exploring the ancient beauty of the city, before moving on to Ho Chi Minh City, where they immersed themselves in the local cuisine by taking a cooking class at M.O.M Cooking Class.
The couple chose to spend their last day in Vietnam learning how to cook some of the country’s delicious dishes. They signed up for the afternoon cooking class at M.O.M Cooking Class, and it proved to be a highlight of their entire trip.
Becclar and her boyfriend had a fantastic experience learning how to make Vietnamese salad and spring rolls. Despite being in a class of 11 learners, they still felt like they had a personal and intimate experience.
“The chef who taught us was excellent,” Becclar recalled. “He explained the dishes and ingredients clearly and provided alternatives we could use when we returned home. We received the menu in advance, so we knew what to expect. The dishes we created were beautiful, and I never would have thought to try making them myself.”

David D, another Australian traveler, also had a wonderful experience at M.O.M Cooking Class. He joined the morning class, which included a visit to a local market. David was impressed by the excellent explanations of the ingredients and the small group size, which allowed for a more personalized experience.
“It was a casual and intimate introduction to some fantastic Vietnamese dishes,” David said. “The instructors were hands-on and always willing to help with dish preparation. I learned a lot, and it was great to receive the recipes for the dishes we cooked, along with recommended alternatives for ingredients that might be difficult to find back home.”
