In a social media post following the ceremony, Prime Minister Modi expressed his dedication to serving India’s vast population and propelling the nation towards greater progress. He congratulated all the newly sworn-in ministers.

“I took the oath of office as Prime Minister earlier this evening, and I am committed to working tirelessly for the people of India. With the support of the Council of Ministers, we will strive to take our country to new heights of development and prosperity. My heartiest congratulations to all those who have been sworn in today. This diverse team of ministers brings together youth and experience, and we are dedicated to improving the lives of every Indian,” PM Modi wrote on X.

In his message, Prime Minister Modi also highlighted the importance of India’s collaboration with its global allies. He assured that the nation would continue to work closely with its valued partners to tackle shared challenges and advance mutual interests.

“I am deeply grateful for the presence of foreign dignitaries at the swearing-in ceremony. India remains committed to fostering strong relationships with our global partners for the betterment of humanity,” he added.

Leaders from neighboring countries and the Indian Ocean region joined PM Modi on stage at Rashtrapati Bhavan after he was sworn in as Prime Minister for the third consecutive term. They included Nepal PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay, Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu, Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth, Seychelles Vice President Ahmed Afif, and Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina.

The leaders also greeted President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and a group photograph was taken to commemorate the occasion.

Narendra Modi took the oath of office as Prime Minister of India for his third term on Sunday, in a grand ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The event was attended by leaders from neighboring countries and the Indian Ocean region, reflecting the importance India places on its ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy and ‘SAGAR’ vision.

President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to Narendra Modi and his team of ministers, marking a significant moment in India’s political landscape.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) underscored the significance of the event, stating, “The presence of leaders from our neighborhood and the Indian Ocean region at the swearing-in ceremony underscores the importance India attaches to its ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy and ‘SAGAR’ vision.” (ANI)
