Nestled just over 12 kilometers from Dalat’s city center, Prenn Falls is easily accessible via a picturesque drive along Lien Khuong Highway in Ward 3. The name Prenn derives from the Cham language and reflects the area’s historical significance as a boundary occupied by the Cham people.

According to local legends, the waterfall’s original name was Prenh, meaning “bitter eggplant” in English. This peculiar name stems from the abundance of wild eggplants in the upstream areas, which, when ripe, resemble bitter tomatoes. Over time, the pronunciation evolved, and the name transformed into Prenn due to linguistic influences.

Datanla Waterfall

Datanla, situated a mere 5 kilometers from downtown Dalat along National Road 20, encompasses an area of 312 hectares within the preservation forests. This site offers a serene escape from the bustling city life.

Originally known as “Da Tam N’nha” by the native people, Datanla holds a special place in K’Ho folklore. It is believed that fairies once bathed in the waters here, and the name reflects the discovery of a stream hidden beneath the leaves. Visitors can choose to walk down to the waterfall or opt for a thrilling roller-coaster ride.

In recent times, the Datanla tourist site has expanded its offerings to include adventurous activities such as cliff climbing, forest exploration, and stream trekking to Prenn Bridge, providing a diverse range of experiences for thrill-seekers.

Dambri Waterfall

Dambri Waterfall, located in Bao Loc City, stands tall as one of the highest waterfalls in Vietnam, also known as the Seven-storey or Waiting Waterfall. This majestic cascade is surrounded by diverse and lush flora, attracting nature enthusiasts and adventurers alike.

With a height of over 57 meters, Dambri Waterfall creates a breathtaking spectacle as it tumbles down a cliff, drawing thousands of visitors each year. The waterfall boasts a height of about 60 meters and a width of 30 meters, presenting a grand and awe-inspiring sight. To reach the top, visitors must ascend over 138 steps, navigating their way through the craggy cliffs. The journey rewards adventurers with a panoramic view of the waterfall, showcasing its grandeur and the surrounding natural beauty.

Bao Dai Waterfall

Hidden within the forests of Ta Hine Commune, Duc Trong District, Bao Dai Waterfall is a natural gem that can be easily accessed from National Highway 28B connecting Duc Trong and Binh Thuan. This waterfall holds a special historical significance, bearing the name of King Bao Dai, the last emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty.

The Churu ethnic people, who inhabit the area, refer to the waterfall as Jraiblian, meaning “high rock waterfall.” King Bao Dai often rested here during his hunting expeditions, lending the waterfall its current name. Visitors are treated to mesmerizing views of the cascade and ancient trees that line the path to the waterfall’s base, creating a serene and enchanting atmosphere.

Cam Ly Waterfall

Conveniently located just 2 kilometers from Da Lat market, Cam Ly Waterfall is a popular attraction for visitors to the city. Standing at a height of 30 meters, the waterfall presents a tranquil scene during the dry season and transforms into a powerful force of nature during the rainy season.
