During his visit to the Long An International Port, Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, shared his insights on Vietnam’s development. With over three years of experience in the country, he has witnessed Vietnam’s remarkable progress across all sectors. He firmly believes that Vietnam is poised to become a prominent economic force in Southeast Asia.
Madan Mohan Sethi also highlighted the investment potential in Long An, noting the numerous projects and industrial parks seeking global investment opportunities. He expressed his desire to see increased cooperation between Indian businesses and Long An, particularly in the context of port development. India is home to large corporations with a keen interest in port collaborations in Vietnam.

The Consul General highly praised the strategic location and development vision of the Long An International Port. He also appreciated the proposed connections, which could pave the way for future cooperation between the port and Indian businesses.
As part of their business trip, the delegation explored various facets of the Long An International Port ecosystem, including the wharf, warehouse system, industrial park, service area, and the tallest flagpole in Indochina. This provided them with a comprehensive understanding of the cooperation potential in this field.

Prior to their visit to the port, the delegation paid a visit to the Park – Monument of Long An. There, they offered incense and reflected on the brave struggles of the people of Long An, as depicted through images, artifacts, and documents. This visit coincided with the 49th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the unification of Vietnam.
