A spectacular light show titled ‘The Color of West Lake’ will take place over West Lake, featuring hundreds of drones. This event is part of the ‘Get on Hanoi 2024’ program, which aims to captivate tourists and showcase Hanoi as a safe, friendly, high-quality, and fascinating destination for both local and international travelers.
The drone show is also a special celebration to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954).
During the nighttime program, the Hanoi administration will officially announce the recognition of Nhat Tan Tourist Area in Tay Ho District as a city-level tourist site.
The ‘Get on Hanoi 2024’ program serves as the launching event for 50 cultural and tourism activities and festivals happening throughout the year in Hanoi. Some of these include Hanoi Tourism Fest 2024, Hanoi Tourism Gift Fest 2024, Hanoi Autumn Fest, Cuisine and Craft Village Tourism Fest, and Hanoi Ao Dai Fest 2024.
These events aim to establish Hanoi as a city of year-round festivals, attracting more tourists and promoting its rich cultural heritage.
The program will take place at Trinh Cong Son Pedestrian Street on both Saturday and Sunday.
Hanoi has set a target of welcoming 27 million tourists, including 5.5 million international visitors, in 2024. The city also aims to achieve VND103.7 trillion (US$4.2 billion) in tourism revenue this year, representing an 11.1 percent increase compared to the previous year.
