Laura Ayres, CEO of Clipper Ventures, expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality of the local authorities and people in Quang Ninh.
“I truly believe that this stopover has exceeded all expectations. Race crews had the opportunity to explore museums, take walking tours, visit the mountains to meet the Dao people in Ky Thuong commune, and try activities like rafting, cooking, dancing, and hiking,” quoted from Quang Ninh newspaper.
“They have also indulged in the local cuisine – someone described Quang Ninh province’s cuisine as a taste of all Vietnam in one place. From Ha Long Skipper Josh going to the fish market and learning the traditional process of making Squid Balls, to the Race Crew having a cook-off making spring rolls and seafood pancakes.”
Laura expressed her hope that Vietnam will have participants as members of racing teams or ambassadors in the next Clipper Race tournament.
