The event, which took place in Caracas, was part of the celebration for the 35th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Venezuela (1989-2024), as well as the implementation of Vietnam’s Cultural Diplomacy Strategy until 2030. Hundreds of university students in Caracas participated in this event.

During the event, Giselle Petrica, Vice Principal of the university, highlighted the importance of this opportunity for Venezuelan students to learn about Vietnam’s culture, history, and the strong friendship between the two nations. She expressed her hope that the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela will continue to organize seminars about Vietnam, providing the young Venezuelan generation with more information about Vietnam’s accomplishments in national construction and development.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela, Vu Trung My, briefed the students about significant milestones in Vietnamese history since the country gained independence in 1945. He encouraged the young generation of both countries, especially students, to engage in more exchange activities and promote cultural and historical knowledge between the two peoples.

Apart from the discussions, students from universities in Caracas also participated in exchange activities. They shared insights about Vietnamese history, socio-economic development, and foreign policy. Additionally, they had the opportunity to experience Vietnamese handicraft products, take photos in traditional Vietnamese “ao dai” and conical hats, and savor Vietnamese dishes.
