There are numerous stories surrounding the origin of Ban Co Peak, but one of the most popular is still widely mentioned today. One day, a master chess fairy named De Thich passed by and challenged the old fairy to a match. After several days of intense gameplay, neither fairy was able to emerge victorious, resulting in a draw.
While enjoying the game, a group of beautiful goddesses appeared on a nearby beach, now known as Tien Sa Beach. The distraction caused De Thich to make a fatal mistake, leading to his defeat. After the other fairy returned to heaven, De Thich remained on the peak, determined to find a way to unravel the chess game.
