These remarkable landmarks contribute to the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam.
In 1010, King Ly Cong Uan relocated the capital from Hoa Lu to Dai La and bestowed upon it the new name of Thang Long. He specifically selected the Ba Dinh area as the site for the construction of the Imperial Citadel, which served as the residence for the feudal court and royal family. This piece of land holds a significant historical value, as it is regarded as the central core of the ancient Thang Long Citadel.
