Ahead of the upcoming 61st Miss International contest, predictions have been made regarding the top contenders. SofÃa OsÃo of Colombia is seen as the favorite to be crowned Miss International 2023, while Andrea Rubio of Venezuela is expected to be the first runner-up.
Other contestants who are anticipated to finish among the pageant’s top five include representatives from Cambodia and Nigeria.
Previously, Phuong Nhi was predicted to make the Top 3 of the competition, according to Missosology, a leading publication on beauty pageants.
Phuong Nhi, standing at 1.70 meters tall with measurements of 80-57-88, is from the central province of Thanh Hoa. She gained recognition by securing the second runner-up title at Miss World Vietnam 2022, which allowed her to qualify for the 2023 Miss International pageant.
The global pageant is set to take place in Tokyo, Japan in October, with the grand finale scheduled for October 26. There are currently 52 confirmed contestants vying for the crown, with Germany’s Jasmin Selberg reigning as Miss International 2022.
Having been established in 1960, Miss International is considered one of the Big Four international beauty competitions, alongside Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Earth. This year marks the 61st edition of the global pageant.
Vietnamese representatives have achieved notable success in previous editions of the competition. Pham Hong Thuy Van finished as the third runner-up in 2015, and Tuong San reached the Top 8 in the 2019 version of the pageant.
