The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has selected our film to compete at the 96th Academy Awards in Hollywood.

An Nam Films, our production unit, is currently coordinating with the Cinema Department to register the film for the preliminary round before October 2nd.

Our film, directed by Bui Thac Chuyen and based on short stories by renowned Vietnamese writer Nguyen Ngoc Tu, portrays the relationships between three women and their partners in a coastal town in Ca Mau province.

In 2017, our film emerged victorious from a pool of 27 other film projects worldwide, winning the Asian Project Market Category at the Busan Awards and a prize of US$15,000.

Furthermore, we also received a grant of SG$250,000 from the Singapore Film Commission’s Inaugural Southeast Asia Co-Production Grant, with support from Singaporean producer Jeremy Chua.
