The Amazing Vietnam online photo contest, organized by Tourism Magazine and the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, awarded photographer Nguyen Dang Viet Cuong first prize for his captivating photo of the Saigon River and nightlife in HCM City.
Second prizes were given to Dang Thi Phuong Lan from the northern province of Yen Bai for her photo titled “Sunlight on Sang Nhu” and to Vu Van Lam from Hai Phong City for his photo titled “Starry Night”.

The jury also recognized a photo titled “Season of Inundated Terrace Rice Field” by Duong Hoai An, which received the most likes and heart icons, and a photo titled “Foggy Ta Pa” by Nguyen Dong Xuan, which was the most shared photo.
The award ceremony took place in Hanoi on August 25.
According to Nguyen Trung Khanh, director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration and head of the jury, the contest received an impressive 13,279 entries from 1,032 authors representing 63 provinces and cities across the country in just under six months.

Khanh emphasized that all the contest entries were of high quality and aligned with the theme of tourism, offering fresh perspectives. The photos will be stored in a data system to promote Vietnam’s tourism industry, and the contest aims to encourage artists and the public to capture tourism activities through photography.
“The photos vividly showcase the beauty of Vietnam’s landscapes, people, and current way of life; they depict tourists discovering and experiencing various tourism products and immersing themselves in local life across the country,” said Khanh.

Nguyen Duc Xuyen, Editor-in-Chief of Tourism Magazine and deputy head of the organizing committee, commended the winning photo for its artistic quality and meaningful message. The organizers prioritize the development of night tourism and water tourism.
“These photos convey clear messages and offer fresh and unique insights,” said Xuyen. “They capture the beauty of Vietnam’s landscapes, people, and way of life. Many photos depict tourists exploring and experiencing various tourism products and actively participating in local life across the country.”
The exhibition of outstanding photos will be open until September 31 at the Vietnam Culture Arts Exhibition Center, located at 2 Hoa Lu Street in Hanoi.
Sam Son sea festival slated for April 21
