BLACKPINK Celebrates 7th Anniversary with Video Shoot at Hanoi Luxury Eatery

The official channel of the group, with 90.5 million followers, shared a video on August 8 showcasing the memorable moments of the girls since their inception and how they have captivated audiences worldwide.

In just 16 hours, the video attracted 2.8 million views.

The video received 31,000 comments from viewers who noted the similarities between the filming scene and Akio Bar & Lounge of Hibana by Koki, a restaurant located within the premises of Capella Hanoi hotel in Hanoi.

Although the location where the group’s four members filmed was not revealed in the video, fans were able to confirm the exact location based on the costumes and background in the behind-the-scenes footage. Clues include the interior of wooden boxes and a cup featuring an image of Hoan Kiem Lake, a historical landmark in the heart of Hanoi.

In addition, Rosé’s outfit in the video coincided with the photos she took at the hotel during their recent concert in Hanoi.

The Hibana by Koki restaurant is situated near Hoan Kiem Lake and the Hanoi Opera House.

Earlier this year, Capella Hanoi hotel was proud to announce that Hibana by Koki restaurant had been awarded the prestigious one-star Michelin recognition. The restaurant offers Japanese Teppanyaki Cuisine and has gained popularity among food enthusiasts.

BLACKPINK has inspired fans globally with their unique music and fashion styles. Since their debut in 2016, the group has quickly become a dominant force in the music industry in both the Republic of Korea (RoK) and around the world, with many of their hits garnering billions of views.

The band recently performed in Hanoi on July 29 and 30, delighting approximately 60,000 fans from Vietnam and various Asian countries.

Prior to their concert in Vietnam, the band successfully held a number of shows as part of their Born Pink world tour. These concerts attracted strong ticket sales and became the highest-grossing tour by a female group, generating over US$78 million in revenues and surpassing the previous record held by the Spice Girls.

Hanoi Nightlife

Hanoi’s nightlife scene offers a multitude of interesting things to see and places to go well after the sun sets. The city’s lively bars and glitzy nightclubs are conveniently set around Hoan Kiem Lake in the Old Quarter, where you can enjoy great tunes and all sorts of booze as well as mix and mingle with fun-loving locals and expats. However, a night out in Hanoi is not complete without sitting back on plastic stools and enjoy bia hoi (Vietnamese draft beer) along the bustling streets. Due to the Hanoi’s rather strict laws, nightclubs and bars usually close at midnight, but you can find some that remain open (and busy) until the local authorities show up.
