In the final held in Porto, Chien exhibited his prowess and dominance over his Egyptian opponent, Sameh Sidhom. Demonstrating his exceptional skills, Chien achieved a remarkable victory with a score of 50-30 in just 27 innings.

Sidhom, who is currently ranked eighth in the world, had an impressive beginning in the final match. He won the lag and demonstrated a strong start by scoring six consecutive points.

The match was characterized by Chien’s swift response and consistent superiority over his Egyptian opponent.

The Vietnamese player displayed a poised and calm demeanor, while Sidhom struggled to maintain his composure.

Chien emerged as the victorious winner and was awarded a well-deserved cash prize of US$16,000.

Previously, Chien competed against his fellow countryman Chiem Hong Thai in the semifinals and emerged victorious with a comfortable 50-26 score in just 20 innings.

In the other semifinal match, Jeremy Bury from France faced a major setback when Sidhom put together an impressive run of 19 points in the second inning. Unfortunately for Bury, this proved to be too difficult to overcome as he struggled to regain his momentum. In the end, the final score was 50-20 in 31/30 innings.

Bury and Thai were both awarded a bronze medal.

Chien’s second World Cup victory propelled him to the 10th spot in the global rankings.

Chien, who is renowned for his exceptional position-play skills, previously secured his first World Cup title in Ho Chi Minh City in 2018.

The Porto World Cup, an international sporting event, was held in the vibrant city of Porto from June 26th to Sunday. This highly-anticipated tournament attracted a total of 14 skilled players from various parts of the world.
