On March 10, in Hanoi, Director General of the Department of International Cooperation of Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Phuong Hoa had a meeting with Director of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center in Hanoi Monica Sharma. On this occasion, the license of establishment and operation of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center in Hanoi was also awarded to the Indian Director.
Director General Nguyen Phuong Hoa thanked Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center for coordinating and supporting the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to successfully organize Vietnamese Culture Days in India in December 2022. It is noted that the event was held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India.
Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center in Hanoi also worked closely with Vietnamese authorities to facilitate the signing of the Cultural Exchange Program between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture of India for the period 2022-2025.
Director General Hoa highly appreciated the Indian partners for sponsoring the conservation, embellishment and restoration of towers in the World Cultural Heritage My Son relic site located in Quang Nam province. She also expressed her hope that the Swami Vivekananda Center continues to organize cultural exchange activities to enhance understanding between the peoples of the two countries.
On this occasion, Director General Nguyen Phuong Hoa suggested that the center will strengthen cooperation in cinema, book translation and theater as well as cultural exchange activities in the coming time.

According to Monica Sharma, Director of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center in Hanoi, many cultural activities are planned for the year 2023 such as the International Yoga Day organized in Vietnamese localities, Indian classical dance delegation and instructors to visit and perform at the art schools of the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center in Hanoi was established in 2013 with an aim to promote cultural exchange. friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and India. The Center’s main activities include organizing cultural exchange programs and cultural activities; performing arts, dance and drama, Yoga, exhibition, Indian film festival in Vietnam; operating the library; teaching Indian cultural forms of music, dance, Yoga, martial arts, English and Hindi language, Indian handicrafts, offers scholarships to study in India, etc.
