Hai Duong Establishes an International Quality Lychee Plantation

On April 20, Hai Duong province held a conference paving the way for the expansion of its lychee and longan growing areas in accordance with international standards. Three enterprises have since signed contracts to consume hundreds of tonnes of lychees.

The Hai Duong province in northern Vietnam is actively developing 23 lychee and longan plantations spanning a total area of 220 hectares. These plantations adhere to international standards for plant quarantine and food safety.

The local agriculture sector is collaborating with exporters to ensure the production process is closely monitored and supervised.

As per statistics, the lychee farms in Hai Duong province currently cover an area of 9,700 hectares. It is projected to yield a total of approximately 45,000 tonnes in 2020.
