Hanoi Redtour has focused on exploiting combo travel packages of two to four days in Danang, Tuy Hoa, Phu Quoc and Quan Lan. Promotional tour prices are only at 30-35% of pre-pandemic prices thanks to the support from service providers.
To kickstart the summer travel season, Vietravel Hanoi also introduced a stimulus program with a 50% discount on prices applied to tour packages, and fee-and-easy services. The discount program is valid for tours to Phu Quoc, Danang, Nha Trang and Quy Nhon from VND2.75 million (US$118); Halong Bay Paradise 5-star cruise tour from VND3.5 million (US$150.4).
AZA Travel is currently running a stimulus program with ten famous tourist destinations across the country such as Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon, Tuy Hoa, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Danang, Quang Nam, Hue, Buon Me Thuot, and Can Tho. The travel business has also launched a series of tours entitled “The ripening paddy season”, starting in May in ancient villages of Ninh Binh, Mai Chau and Phu Luong.
According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, the number of tourists on national holidays of April 30 and May 1 thrived. Hanoi will work with other provinces and cities to launch a domestic tourism stimulus program to create jobs and restart the recovery of the tourism industry.
Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association Nguyen Huu Tho told local media that while the international market is at a standstill, the domestic market is a way-out and the national domestic stimulus program is important to revive the whole industry.
“The program aims to increase overnight stays, with the focus on ecological, beach, culture and heritage, discovery, and cuisine tours,” Tho was quoted as saying.
Unlike the previous tourism stimulus programs, which focused only on a few pandemic-free provinces and cities, this program will be rolled out simultaneously across the country.
The launching ceremony will be held in all Vietnam’s three regions of North – Central – South in mid-May. In particular, the focal destinations of the southern region will be the Mekong Delta, the South-Central Coast – Central Highlands.
In the North, at the end of May, the Vietnam and Hanoi Tourism Associations will launch the domestic program in the Red River Delta, the Northern and Northwest coastal provinces.
