Tran Duc Minh’s journey to the final of the Ho Chi Minh City World Cup 3-Cushion 2024 was an unexpected surprise, as he was not considered a favorite before the tournament.

Minh’s calm demeanor and extensive experience allowed him to outperform many renowned players and secure his place in the final round.

On the other hand, Kim Jun Tae is an established name in the world of billiards, known for his impressive skills.

Despite the noticeable gap in their skill levels, both players delivered a closely contested final, with neither player able to assert dominance.

Minh took an early lead in the game, pulling ahead with a score of 21-8.

However, Kim displayed remarkable resilience and composure to close the gap to 20-33.

Minh responded with a brilliant streak, scoring seven straight points to extend his lead to 41-20 and then 45-31.

Kim fought back valiantly, scoring 12 consecutive points to narrow the gap to 43-45 and eventually taking the lead at 46-45.

Unfortunately, Kim seemed to lose focus towards the end, allowing Minh to seize the opportunity and showcase his talent. Minh ultimately clinched a thrilling victory with a final score of 50-46.
