The National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting predicts that cold air will affect the Northeast, followed by the North Central and Northwest regions. Inland areas will experience strong Northeast winds at levels 2-3, while coastal areas will have winds at levels 3-4.

Starting from February 8, the weather has been extremely cold, with some mountainous areas experiencing extreme cold temperatures. The Northwest and North Central regions will also see a drop in temperature.

During this cold wave, the lowest temperatures in the Northern region are expected to range from 11-13 degrees Celsius, from 8-10 degrees Celsius in the Northern mountainous region, and below 5 degrees Celsius in certain high mountain areas.

Weather forecast in different regions

Northwest region: The weather is predicted to be cloudy with light rain in some places and early morning fog. It will be sunny in the afternoon. The lowest temperature will range from 18-21 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature will reach 26-29 degrees Celsius, with some areas in the Northwest region going above 30 degrees Celsius.

Northeast region: The weather is forecasted to be cloudy and rainy throughout the day, with morning fog. East to southeast winds will be at levels 2-3. Nighttime temperatures will be cold, ranging from 18-21 degrees Celsius, and in some mountainous areas, it may drop below 16 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature will be 21-24 degrees Celsius, with temperatures in mountainous areas ranging from 15-18 degrees Celsius.

Thanh Hoa – Thua Thien Hue: The weather will be cloudy with light rain in some places and sunny in the afternoon. The lowest temperature will be 20-23 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature will reach 26-29 degrees Celsius. In the Southern regions, temperatures may exceed 29 degrees Celsius.

Da Nang – Binh Thuan: The weather will be cloudy and sunny during the day and there will be no rain at night. Northeast to east winds will be at levels 2-3. The lowest temperature will be 22-25 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature will reach 29-32 degrees Celsius.

The Central Highlands: The weather will be cloudy and sunny throughout the day and there will be no rain at night. Northeast to east winds will be at levels 2-3. The lowest temperature will range from 18-21 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature will reach 29-32 degrees Celsius, with some areas going above 32 degrees Celsius.

The Southern region: The weather is forecasted to be cloudy and sunny during the day and there will be no rain at night. Northeast to east winds will be at levels 2-3. The lowest temperature will be 23-26 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature will reach 31-34 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 34 degrees Celsius.
