During his 3-year tenure, the two countries have successfully held many high-level delegation exchanges and reached many important agreements, which are the basis for their strategic partnership to develop effectively and substantively.

South Korean Ambassador Park Noh Wan expressed his gratitude to VUFO and Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga for the close cooperation between the two sides in promoting bilateral relations, especially in the field of people-to-people diplomacy. He confirmed to continue his contribution to the relations as an individual after his term.

He said even in the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam – South Korea relations were still on a good track. Now that the pandemic is under control, Koreans are returning to Vietnam to travel, invest and work. Along with that, South Korea will welcome President Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s visit later this year, promising new developments in the two countries’ relations, looking towards upgrading to a “comprehensive strategic partnership”.

VUFO and the South Korean Embassy agreed to cooperate in organizing activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (December 22, 1992 – December 22, 2022) and President Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s upcoming visit to South Korea.
