Vietnam’s Weather Update: Persistent Cold Days and Rainy Nights in the North

On February 29th, the weather forecast for Vietnam indicates that the Northern region will experience cold and rainy conditions during the early morning and night. These conditions are expected to persist until the end of this week.

Based on the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, the weather in the Northeast, some places in the Northwest, and North Central regions have been influenced by increased cold air. Inland areas of the Northeast have strong wind levels of 2-3, while coastal areas have wind levels of 3.

Due to the increasing influence of cold air, the northeastern region will continue to experience extremely cold weather in the coming days. The lowest temperatures in the Midlands and the Northern Delta are commonly between 11-13 degrees, and in the Northern mountainous areas, temperatures range from 8-11 degrees.

At the same time, the northeast sea will continue to have strong winds at level 6 and gusts at levels 7-8, creating strong sea waves.

The weather in the Northern and North Central regions will have scattered light rain, showers, and thunderstorms in some places. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds.

Weather Forecast for Different Regions

Northwest Region: The weather forecast predicts cold and rainy conditions in some places, with fewer clouds and sunny weather in the afternoon. The temperature is cold, especially in the Lai Chau-Dien Bien areas. Lowest temperature: 13-16 degrees, with some places below 13 degrees. Highest temperature: 16-19 degrees, with some places above 28 degrees.

Northeast Region: The weather is forecasted to be cloudy and rainy in some places during the morning and afternoon. Lowest temperature: 11-13 degrees. Highest temperature: 14-17 degrees.

Thanh Hoa – Thua Thien Hue: The weather will be cloudy and rainy in the afternoon, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. North to northwest wind at level 2-3. Lowest temperature: North 15-18 degrees, South 19-22 degrees. Highest temperature: North 17-20 degrees; South 22-25 degrees.

Da Nang – Binh Thuan: The weather will be cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in places. Lowest temperature: 22-25 degrees. Highest temperature: North 26-29 degrees; South 29-31 degrees.

The Central Highlands: The weather forecast predicts cloudy and sunny conditions during the day, with showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night. Northeast wind at level 2-3. Lowest temperature: 18-21 degrees. Highest temperature: 28-31 degrees.

The Southern Region: The weather is forecasted to be cloudy and sunny during the day, with showers and thunderstorms in some places. Northeast wind at level 2-3. Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees. Highest temperature: 32-35 degrees.

Weather Forecast for Big Cities

Hanoi: The weather forecast predicts cloudy and rainy conditions, with cold temperatures at night. Lowest temperature: 12-14 degrees. Highest temperature: 14-16 degrees.
