The North and North Central regions are currently experiencing cold weather due to the influence of cold air, which is gradually spreading to the Central region. Inland areas are experiencing strong northeast winds at levels 2-3, while coastal areas are experiencing winds at levels 3-4.

During this cold spell, temperatures in the North and North Central regions typically range from 15-18 degrees Celsius, with even lower temperatures in the Northern mountainous region.

However, after January 5, when the cold air fully arrives, the weather will become slightly warmer in the afternoon.

Weather forecast for different regions

Northwest region: The weather will be cloudy with moderate to heavy rain, but will become sunny in the afternoon. The lowest temperature will be 14-17 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature will be 20-23 degrees Celsius.

Northeast region: The weather forecast predicts cloudy skies with some sun in the afternoon, along with locally moderate rainfall. The lowest temperature will be 15-18 degrees Celsius, with some high mountainous areas experiencing temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature will be 19-22 degrees Celsius.

Thanh Hoa – Thua Thien Hue: The weather will be cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas. The lowest temperature will be 17-20 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature will be 21-24 degrees Celsius.

Da Nang – Binh Thuan: The weather will be cloudy and rainy in the early morning and evening, but will become sunny in the afternoon. The lowest temperature will be 21-24 degrees Celsius, with some areas in the South experiencing temperatures above 24 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature will be 25-28 degrees Celsius in the North and 29-32 degrees Celsius in the South.

The Central Highlands: The weather will be a mix of clouds and sun throughout the day, with scattered showers in the afternoon and evening. The wind will be blowing from the northeast to the east at level 2-3. The lowest temperature will be 17-20 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature will be 26-29 degrees Celsius.

The Southern region: The weather will be a combination of clouds and sun during the day, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas in the evening and at night. The lowest temperature will be 22-25 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature will be 31-34 degrees Celsius.

Weather forecast for big cities

Hanoi: The weather will be cloudy and sunny in the afternoon, with some areas experiencing moderate rain. The temperature will be cold, with the lowest temperature ranging from 16-18 degrees Celsius, and the highest temperature ranging from 20-22 degrees Celsius.

Ho Chi Minh City: According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, Ho Chi Minh City and its surrounding areas will experience cloudy and sunny weather in the afternoon. The temperature will range from 32-34 degrees Celsius, slightly lower than the previous day.
