Discovered in 2014, this relatively new attraction retains its wild and untamed charm. The Chu Bluk volcanic cave complex, also known as the Doi (Bat) Cave, spans approximately 25 kilometers from the majestic Dray Sap Waterfall to the captivating Buon Choah Cave.

With over 100 caves formed by ancient lava flows, the complex offers a unique insight into the region’s geological history. Researchers have determined that the formation of these caves occurred approximately 3,700 years ago due to volcanic eruptions.

The journey to Chu Bluk is an adventure in itself, featuring a 9-kilometer trekking route that is both thrilling and challenging. Visitors will traverse uneven paths covered with volcanic stones and wild grass, all while taking in the breathtaking views of the blue sky and majestic mountains.

Chu Bluk maintains a cool temperature year-round, making it an ideal destination for caving enthusiasts at any time. However, late spring and summer offer particularly favorable conditions with sunny skies and a low chance of rain, making it easier to access the cave and capture stunning photographs.

With its moderate difficulty level, the trek to explore the Chu B’luk volcanic cave has become a popular choice for many adventurers.

As you venture into the cave, you’ll be enveloped in darkness, with only occasional rays of light filtering through cracks in the rocks. The air is damp and cool, adding to the mysterious atmosphere.

The “abseiling” technique, which involves descending a rope from top to bottom, is commonly used to explore the cave. This method allows adventurers to navigate cliffs or cave sinkholes safely.

For the best experience, plan your trip to Chu Bluk volcanic cave during spring or summer when the landscape is lush and green, and the weather is dry and pleasant. To avoid any inconveniences, it is advisable to avoid the rainy season.

In addition to trekking, visitors can also enjoy cycling through villages, exploring coffee fields, and discovering nearby attractions such as the Dray Nur and Luu Ly waterfalls.

Due to the complexity and remoteness of the cave system, it is essential to contact the forest management board and hire local guides to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
