THE HANOI TIMES — Over 300 healthcare professionals have been mobilized to deliver medical services for the 14th National Party Congress, set to take place from January 19 to 25. This deployment ensures robust medical support for this pivotal political event.

Professor Dr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health, emphasized the importance of all involved units adhering to their assigned roles as per the approved plan. He highlighted that the leadership of the professional medical council will bear ultimate responsibility for decisions in unforeseen circumstances.
According to the plan, hospitals and medical institutions with inpatient capabilities must reserve five to ten emergency beds. Each hospital is also required to assign at least one medical team and one ambulance for round-the-clock duty from 1 PM on January 18 until the congress concludes, ready to handle off-site emergencies.
Additionally, the Ministry of National Defense has deployed nine medical teams and a disaster relief unit, while the Ministry of Public Security has stationed one medical team to bolster healthcare services during the event.

The Vietnam Food Administration and the Department of Preventive Medicine are collaborating closely with the Hanoi Department of Health and the Hanoi Center for Disease Control to monitor food safety, disease prevention, and water quality at congress venues.
Comprehensive contingency plans for disease prevention and food poisoning have been meticulously prepared.
Ha Anh Duc, Director of the Department of Medical Services Administration under the Ministry of Health, noted that the medical subcommittee has distributed a medical handbook to relevant units to facilitate information sharing and coordination during the Party Congress.
Duc commended leading professors and medical experts for their dedicated cooperation and commitment in supporting the medical subcommittee’s preparations.
He urged experts and healthcare workers to maintain a high level of responsibility and professionalism to ensure the delivery of top-tier medical services for the nation’s congress.
