In 2023, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea (RoK) in Vietnam and the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam have come together to organize the Korean Cultural Road Festival on April 22-23 in Hanoi. This festival offers a variety of immersive activities that promise to be an unforgettable experience for all who attend.

This year, the Korean Festival showcased the image of Busan as the city had launched a campaign to host the World Expo 2030. The stone road area behind the Korean Embassy, which is a popular spot for taking pictures, was decorated with images of Busan’s Gamcheon mural village, adding a vibrant and interesting atmosphere to the festival.

The festival showcased a range of activities to promote Korean culture, such as donning traditional hanbok, learning about tourist attractions and traditional crafts, sampling products made by small and medium enterprises, making kimchi, taking part in a Korean culture quiz, and playing traditional games from the Land of Kimchi.

This year’s festival showcased a range of exciting Korean products, from fruits and ginseng, to nutritious drinks, mixed noodles, tokbokki, and other traditional Korean delicacies.

In addition, the audience had the pleasure of watching a captivating artistic performance program and a qualifying round for the K-pop Lovers Festival in Hanoi.

The first Korean Cultural Road festival was held in 2022, attracting thousands of visitors. To celebrate the upgrading of Vietnam-South Korea relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (December 5, 2022), the Korean Embassy held this year’s festival on an even larger scale.

Pham Thi Lan Huong revealed that her family had initially allowed their children to come for a weekend of fun and leisure activities, yet after the enjoyable experience, they made the decision to take a trip to Korea this year. With anticipation, they eagerly await the opportunity to explore the vibrant culture and unique attractions that the country has to offer.
