On March 31, Chan May Port Border Guard Station under Border Guards of Thua Thien Hue Province coordinated with Loc Thuy Kindergarten of Phu Loc District to organize an extra-curricular lesson for children, thereby cultivating and nurturing in young generation the love of the country’s borders and islands.
At the Chan May port border guard station, more than 80 teachers and students of Loc Thuy kindergarten were introduced the traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army, the tradition of the Border Guard Force and Chan May Port Border Guard Station. They also learn the national security and sovereignty, as well as the functions and duties of the border guards.

In addition, children had the opportunity to experience and visit the actual area of farming and planting, the accommodation of soldiers and officers. They also join the cultural exchanges, draw and paint many pictures to present to border guard officers.
According to Major Thai Ngoc Hung, Politician of Chan May port border guard station, over the past time, the unit has worked closely with schools in the area to organize many extracurricular lessons, especially on major national and military holidays.
Extra-curricular lessons on the borderland of Thua Thien Hue province helps students – the country’s future generation – to better understand the army’s traditions, as well as the sovereignty and security of the national border as functions and duties of the border guard force.
According to Major Hung, the unit has focused on compiling propaganda and education lesson plans with rich and diverse forms, suitable for each type of students from preschool to high schools, thereby creating a fun and exciting atmosphere, attracting the participation of students.
Prevention of and fight against COVID-19 epidemic at the border
