According to the National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, there will be showers and scattered thunderstorms in the area from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai, the Central Highlands, and the South from the evening of August 29 to August 30. There will also be very heavy rain with rainfall of 15 – 30mm, reaching over 70mm in some places. The rain will primarily occur in the evening and at night. During these thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. Local heavy rains may cause flooding in low-lying areas, as well as flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas.
