The project was a roaring success, bringing life to the village with breathtaking paintings that now adorn its walls. As you explore the town, you’ll find the murals capture the essence of life there, from children playing to fishermen in the ocean. There are also plenty of fantasy pieces that make for perfect photo backdrops. So come and explore this vibrant and captivating village!
However, the murals had deteriorated over time, resulting in a decrease in the number of tourists visiting the village. To revitalize the area, a project to restore the murals was initiated in April. The project involved recreating the murals to bring the village back to its former glory and attract more visitors.

The art painted around the town has had not only a visual, but also a social impact. Tam Thanh was chosen as the site for the project not only due to the location of the houses, but also to provide economic development opportunities for the locals. As a result, tourists now flock to the once-quiet village of Tam Thanh to admire the impressive murals—which, in turn, generates more income for the community, making it a successful “art for a cause” project.
Currently, the vibrant murals depicting the day-to-day lives of fishermen, as well as the stunning natural beauty of the area, have left travelers from around the world in awe.

Vietnamese Heroic Mother Statue
Located just 7.7 kilometers inland from the mural village is the Vietnamese Heroic Mother Statue. Standing 18 meters tall and boasting a 120 meter wide base, the granite statue is the largest heroic mother statue in Vietnam. It pays homage to the image of the heroic mother Nguyen Thi Thu, who sacrificed many of her children and grandchildren during two wars, and also sheltered countless soldiers and guerillas in five secret tunnels situated in the garden of her house.
At the entrance to the monument, eight pillars, intricately sculpted with images of heroic mothers from all across the country and young female volunteers, stand tall. Additionally, a small exhibition space featuring images and artifacts of the noble mother can be found on the grounds.
