Ba Vi National Park
Ba Vi National Park, located approximately 60km from the center of Hanoi, is a captivating destination offering various types of eco-tourism, resorts, spiritual tourism, and cultural discovery. The National Park covers an area of approximately 9,700 hectares, spanning the administrative boundaries of Hanoi and Hoa Binh province. It offers a refreshing atmosphere with breathtaking natural scenery, including three mountains: King Peak, Tan Vien Peak, and Ngoc Hoa Peak. The park is also home to a diverse range of rare flora and fauna.
Ba Vi Mountain and the temple, cactus garden, French ruins, the relics of Thuong Temple, Cuu Trung Thien Mother Temple, Uncle Ho’s Temple, and Bao Thien Tower offer many memorable adventures. From November to December, the hills of wild sunflowers bloom brightly, attracting a multitude of tourists for picturesque photo opportunities.
Suoi Hai Lake
Situated at the foot of Tan Mountain, Suoi Hai Lake belongs to the communes of Cam Linh, Ba Trai, Thuy An, and Tan Linh in the Ba Vi district. This lake is the largest artificial freshwater lake in Hanoi, built in the 1950s, with an area of 10 square kilometers and a water reserve of about 100 million cubic meters.

The lake is home to several islands and offers boat services around the clock for island visits or lake cruises. The fares are reasonable, with a cost of VND30,000 (US $1.5) per person to get to the largest island and VND300,000 (US $15) to hire a private boat for a tour of the 90ha reservoir, allowing visitors to stop at any island of their choice.
Initially built for irrigation purposes, Suoi Hai Lake has become an eco-tourism destination due to its serene and picturesque scenery, making it an ideal place for tourists to unwind and enjoy the tranquil natural surroundings.
Tien Sa Lake
Located at the foot of Tan Mountain, at altitudes ranging from 65 to 400m, Tien Sa Lake (Tan Linh commune, Ba Vi district) spans an area of 150ha, including approximately 120ha of forest and over 20ha of water surface.

Surrounded by lush forests, Tien Sa Lake creates a cool climate, making it an ideal vacation spot, particularly for summer getaways. The site offers resorts and recreational areas, making it a popular choice for weekend retreats. Visitors can engage in various activities such as fishing and photography against the stunning natural backdrop of the lake.
How to get to Ba Vi
Traveling by car, tourists can take Thang Long Boulevard to Thien Son Suoi Nga or opt for Highway 32. The journey from Hanoi to Ba Vi takes approximately one hour. Another option is to catch a ride at My Dinh Bus Station.
