Phan Anh Son stated that the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Communist Party USA have great potential for cooperation. Both sides share similar beliefs regarding Vietnam’s journey towards socialism. The Communist Party USA maintains strong relations with the Communist Party of Vietnam and various socio-political institutions and organizations in Vietnam. Phan Anh Son proposed that the two parties collaborate in research, information exchange, and information sharing, as well as supporting each other’s working groups at regional and international institutions and forums. They should also participate in programs and events organized by both parties.

Arturo Cambron, a member of the National Committee of the Communist Party USA, expressed the delegation’s appreciation for their valuable trip to Vietnam, especially for the young members. Through this trip, they were able to gain a better understanding of Vietnam and its path to socialism. This serves as a source of encouragement and inspiration for Communist Party USA members. The Communist Party USA hopes to continue coordinating and exchanging information with the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations.
During the meeting, Phan Anh Son discussed Vietnam’s development and foreign policy, the structure, functions, and tasks of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, as well as the role and achievements of the Vietnam – USA Society in promoting relations and cooperation between the two countries.

On March 2, the Communist Party USA delegation also had a working session with Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Party Committee. Both sides agreed to enhance cooperation to contribute to the friendly relations between the two Parties, States, and peoples. During their visit to Quang Ninh, the delegation also had the opportunity to explore Ha Long Bay and locations in the Van Don Economic Zone.
Furthermore, on March 5, the Communist Party USA delegation visited the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee. They held a working session with Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Standing Vice Chairman of the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam. The two sides discussed plans for cooperation in developing the Vietnam-US youth movement.
