According to local people, the best time to observe the moss on the beach is around 5-6 a.m. when the tide is low, revealing the rocks beneath the surface. The moss season at Co Thach typically occurs at the end of January each year and lasts around a month. Depending on the weather and water conditions, the moss season may sometimes extend beyond a month.
The enchanting beauty of the moss beach makes it an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts. It also provides photographers with the opportunity to explore unique angles and discover other parts of Binh Thuan.

When the sun shines on the beach, the stones sparkle with seven hues of the rainbow after the rain. From a distance, Co Thach Beach resembles an exciting and vivid picture, harmonizing with the sky and the land. The stones line the shore, appearing as if they embroidered an endlessly iridescent carpet.

Mui Ne Hill is nestled after the mountain ranges, giving it a tranquil and pristine ambiance. Compared to the small desert, Mui Ne Hill is an essential tourist attraction when visiting Co Thach Beach. On temperate and cool days, visitors can indulge in playing with colorful sand or simply sit and enjoy the strong winds. Mui Ne Hill resembles a simple picture with sand and weeds, reflecting a secluded way of life.
How to Get to Co Thach Beach
Using the train is the safest way to travel from Ho Chi Minh City to Co Thach Beach. Travelers can book tickets online or visit Saigon Railway Station for offline ticket reservations. However, the train journey to Co Thach Beach takes approximately 4-5 hours and the ticket price is quite expensive.
Motorbike riding is a cost-effective way to reach this destination. Starting from Saigon, tourists can follow National Highway 1A in the direction of the Lien Huong (Tiep Phong) junction. Turn right and drive for about 3km to reach Co Thach.
