According to local people, the best time to observe the moss on the beach is around 5-6 a.m. when the tide is low, revealing the rocks beneath the surface. The moss season at Co Thach typically occurs at the end of January each year and lasts around a month. Depending on the weather and water conditions, the moss season may sometimes extend beyond a month.

How to Get to Co Thach Beach

Using the train is the safest way to travel from Ho Chi Minh City to Co Thach Beach. Travelers can book tickets online or visit Saigon Railway Station for offline ticket reservations. However, the train journey to Co Thach Beach takes approximately 4-5 hours and the ticket price is quite expensive.

Motorbike riding is a cost-effective way to reach this destination. Starting from Saigon, tourists can follow National Highway 1A in the direction of the Lien Huong (Tiep Phong) junction. Turn right and drive for about 3km to reach Co Thach.

Co Thach is famous for its seafood dishes made from fresh ingredients such as lobsters, crabs, oysters, fish, and more.
