According to Nguyen Van Loi, after his visit to Chile in September 2022, leaders of Binh Duong Province sent comprehensive reports and proposals regarding the renovation of Ho Chi Minh Park in Cerro Navia district, along with potentials and orientations for trade and investment promotion with Chile. This indicates a strong commitment to strengthening the relationship between the two regions.

On this momentous occasion, leaders from both sides attended the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding on Support for the Renovation of Ho Chi Minh Park in Cerro Navia district, Santiago, the capital city of Chile. The Department of Construction of Binh Duong province and Cerro Navia district signed the agreement to mark the start of the project.

After the signing ceremony, it is expected that in April 2023, the delegation from Binh Duong Province will visit Chile and discuss in detail the renovation of Ho Chi Minh Park, as well as explore potential opportunities for trade and investment promotion.

In 1969, the citizens of Cerro Navia district paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh by naming a local park after him. The gesture was an expression of solidarity for the Vietnamese people’s ongoing struggle for liberation.

It is a place where people from all walks of life come together to celebrate the spirit of friendship and solidarity.

Over the past half-century, Ho Chi Minh Park has been a showcase of the special bond between the citizens of Vietnam and Chile. It serves as a gathering place for people from all walks of life to honor and commemorate their shared values of friendship and unity. From recreational activities to cultural events, Ho Chi Minh Park has been a cornerstone in promoting camaraderie and understanding between the two nations. It truly is a remarkable testament to the friendship between Vietnam and Chile.
