The Union of Friendship Organizations of Bac Lieu province and the Liaison Committee of Bac Lieu-Ca Mau Fellow Countrymen in Ho Chi Minh City have come together to sign an agreement, solidifying their collaboration on the third iteration of the impactful “Homeland and Hearts” program.

This agreement is a testament to the dedication of both parties in ensuring the successful implementation of the program, which aims to rally support for the construction of much-needed rural bridges and homes for those less fortunate in the province. By clearly outlining the roles and responsibilities of each organization, the agreement strengthens their united front in making a tangible difference in the lives of the disadvantaged.

As per the agreement, from 2024 to 2026, the collective efforts of these organizations will result in the construction of 120 homes for families facing challenging circumstances in the province. Each home is valued at VND 50 million or USD 1.986, with the Bac Lieu Friendship Union contributing VND 25 million (USD 991) and the Literature and Arts Club under the Liaison Committee pledging the remaining funds. This program sets a precedent for future initiatives, offering a sustainable model for change.

Ngo Vu Thang, vice chairman of the Bac Lieu People’s Committee, expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support and generosity of the Liaison Committee and its benefactors. Thanks to their contributions, vulnerable families, the poor, and single elderly individuals have been empowered to lead more stable and dignified lives.

Emphasizing the importance of collaboration, Thang encouraged the Bac Lieu Friendship Union and the Liaison Committee to continue enhancing their coordinated efforts in implementing the program and securing the necessary funding. He also highlighted the need for diligent monitoring to ensure the highest level of effectiveness and impact, ultimately contributing to the long-term social well-being of the Bac Lieu-Ca Mau region.

Demonstrating their unwavering commitment to the cause, the Liaison Committee of Bac Lieu-Ca Mau Fellow Countrymen provided additional support to Bac Lieu Province in the amount of VND 3 billion (USD 119.213) to build homes for impoverished families and those struggling with housing issues.
