At this year’s fair, the Vietnam booth displayed catalogs and products of more than 30 businesses in agricultural products, food, seafood, footwear, textiles, furniture, plastic products, construction materials, machinery, equipment, and mechanical products. The showcased goods received high appreciation from visitors.

On the first day of opening, the Vietnam booth welcomed hundreds of business representatives from Algeria and other countries. Most visitors were impressed with Vietnam’s signature products such as coffee, pepper, cashew, copra, seafood, and traditional crafts, and expressed their interest in establishing business partnerships with Vietnamese exporters.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria Tran Quoc Khanh assessed this fair as an excellent opportunity to promote and introduce the image, country, people, and culture of Vietnam. The participation of Vietnamese businesses at the fair highlights Vietnam’s dynamism, openness, friendliness, and positivity towards international friends, especially in Africa, home to many of the country’s traditional friends.

Besides introducing familiar agricultural products, Vietnam also showcased some Halal-certified products from Binh Phuoc, Vinh Long, and many other localities.

In addition to the main Vietnam booth in the national pavilion, another booth was set up by Hien Import-Export Co., Ltd., which specializes in selling Vietnamese handicrafts in Algiers. The owner, Nguyen Thi Thanh Hien, said that her company has been participating in fairs in major provinces of Algeria since 2005. According to Hien, Vietnamese handicrafts are highly sought after by customers in this country.

According to the VNA reporter, in previous exhibitions, many Vietnamese products such as handicrafts and food received high appreciation from visitors, who returned to this year’s fair to make purchases.

The Algiers International Fair presents a great opportunity for Vietnamese exporters to expand their market presence in Algeria and establish trade partnerships with local businesses. The positive feedback and interest shown by visitors indicate the potential for increased exports of Vietnamese goods to Algeria and other African countries. This fair serves as a platform for showcasing the quality and diversity of Vietnamese products and highlighting Vietnam’s position as a reliable trading partner.
