Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Tuan, Director of Bach Mai Hospital, along with nearly 200 doctors and nurses, are responsible to operating Field Hospital No.16 in District 7.

“Field Hospital No.16 is located in a convenient place with stable traffic. My colleague and I will operate the hospital in the most effective and scientific manner. The leading experts and doctors in active resuscitation, anti-toxicity and infection will provide the best treatment for patients”, shared Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Tuan.

The medical staff participating in this special mission have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine and have good knowledge of epidemic prevention measures. All of them are excited and ready for the trip and promise to return home after the epidemic is controlled.

Sharing and assigning specific tasks to the members of the delegation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Xuan Co, Deputy Director of Bach Mai Hospital, highly appreciated the volunteer spirit of the doctors and nurses assisting the south. They will uphold the experience of epidemic prevention and control in the “battlefields” while joining hands with southern compatriots to successfully stamp out the pandemic and extending Bach Mai Hospital’s spirit and sentiments to the south.

According to the Ministry of Health, Vietnam recorded 3,201 COVID-19 infections on August 2, including 1,997 from Ho Chi Minh City.
