Vietnam drone pictures honoured at international aerial photo contest

Seven pictures taken by Vietnamese photographers using drones took consolation prizes in the people category of the Drone Photo Awards as part of the Siena Awards 2022, an international competition for stunning images.

Located on the banks of the Con river, An Thai is a traditional trade village of dry vermicelli and rice paper and is over 100 years old. Rice is the main ingredient used in producing rice paper which is then put on a bamboo griddle and is then brought out to dry in the sun.

Sedge mats are made from natural materials, enabling people to sleep comfortably in the hot weather.

vietnam drone pictures honoured at international aerial photo contest picture 7 — A photo titled “Fishing anchovies” was taken by Nguyen Ngoc Thien in An Hoa commune of Tuy An district in Phu Yen province. Many fishing families follow the water close to shore in order to catch anchovies in the high season. Salted anchovies are the main raw material used in the traditional fish sauce.
