As the Mid-Autumn Festival draws near, shoppers at SC VivoCity will be greeted by a display of more than 500 traditional lanterns, depicting the brightness and happiness of this traditional festival.
There is a “Moon Town” where shoppers can partake in the season’s celebrations by decorating lanterns and experience activities that remind them of traditions and celebrations that were enjoyed in Vietnamese villages of the past.
Children will also be treated to fun games and hands-on activities such as making mooncakes, coconut-leaf animal toys and to he, a traditional toy figurine made of colored rice flour.
Shoppers with a minimum spend of VND300,000 at the Mid-Autumn Bazaar will have the opportunity to take part in a lucky draw in which the top prize is a round-trip Turkish Airlines ticket to Europe.
The highlights of the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations will be water puppetry performances from September 2-4, as well as a play “Chu Cuoi” which is inspired by the Vietnamese folklore about the man in the moon on September 10 and moon dance performance on September 15.
Guests to SC VivoCity during the first anniversary can admire a gigantic birthday cake stage which is specially built for performances and provide a larger backdrop for memorable Instagram or photo opportunities.
Shoppers who spend VND500,000 or above will stand to win up to VND200 million worth of prizes in the SC VivoCity Birthday Celebration Lucky Draw which is ongoing until October 2.
SC VivoCity will hold a full-day celebration on September 18 with special performances, live shows and lucky draws.
The five top spenders that day will win return air tickets to Europe each.
