Sa Pa is experiencing little rainfall, with drizzle accompanied by thick fog.

The peak of Fansipan Mountain, the highest in Indochina, is widely regarded as the coldest place in the north during the winter period, with temperatures forecast to plummet to as low as two degrees Celsius at night, causing frost to occur.

The temperature on the Hoang Lien Son Mountain range is forecast to drop even lower on the night of December 21 due to a strong cold air wave expected to hit the northern region.

The extreme cold spell in the northern region has caused the natural phenomenon in Sa Pa.

Local authorities urge farmers to actively implement measures to protect their crops and cattle from the extreme cold.
