Located in the heart of HCMC, the Rex, a property of Saigontourist, is a luxury hotel heritage dating back to the early 20th century when it was originally opened as a French garage.
For over 90 years, as a landmark, as well as a witness of the city’s history, the Rex has been rebuilt to become one of the city’s most incredible accommodation places. It offers guests many high-class facilities including 286 individually designed rooms, a range of function and meeting rooms ideal for wedding parties, business events, health club, and four in-house restaurants, cafe and bar.
The hotel has been voted in the “Top Ten Hotels” for ten consecutive years by the Vietnam Tourism Association. “Everything changes following the developing trend. However, the memories remain. The Rex is more than a hotel, from the five o’clock follies to the freaky reunion of a hundred comrades, four decades down the line, the king of residences has surpassed the norm of provision,” said award-winning British photographer Tim Page.
The Rooftop Garden Bar on the top floor of Rex Hotel Saigon is acknowledged as “One of the Best Bars of Southeast Asia” voted by the Newsweek magazine in 1996, one of “1,000 places to see before you die” listed by American travel writer Patricia Schultz.
Overlooking the center of the city, the Rooftop Garden Bar was where international correspondents covered the Vietnam War, and US officers and GIs had their drinking niche during the 60s.
Standing out from many other bars in the country’s busiest city, the Rooftop Garden Bar has many old memories, which keeps people coming back to find the feelings of the old time.
Guests will be welcomed by warm and friendly staff, and enjoy meals and snack or savor favorite cocktail at sunset. There is a variety of high quality drinks to suit everyone’s taste.
Since early June 2018, the Rooftop Garden Bar has shown up the Special Menu with 11 Western cuisines and five Asian cuisines, bringing along the hot offer: a complimentary drink from the offer drink list – especially a beer draft for any ordering of main course, applied from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
