“Vietnam! Due to overwhelming demand, we have decided to add an extra date on November 21st,” Westlife announced on their Facebook fan page.
The originally scheduled performance was set to take place on November 22nd at Thong Nhat Stadium, which has a capacity of approximately 15,000 spectators. Tickets sold out rapidly, prompting the concert organizers to add an additional show on November 21st.
As stated on the group’s official fan page, ticket prices will remain the same for both shows and all seats.
This will be Westlife’s second live concert in Vietnam. The Irish pop group previously captivated thousands of fans during their Gravity global tour in 2011, which included a stop at My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi.
The band’s lead vocalist, Shane Filan, also performed in Ho Chi Minh City as part of his You & Me tour in 2014. In 2017, he returned once again to Ho Chi Minh City for a memorable Love Always music night.
Formed in 1998, Westlife is a five-member band comprised of Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne, Mark Feehily, and Bryan McFadden.
With over 55 million records sold worldwide, Westlife holds four Guinness World Records. The group has received numerous accolades, including a World Music Award, two Brit Awards, four MTV Awards, and four Record of the Year Awards.
Many of their hit songs, such as Flying Without Wings, Seasons in The Sun, My Love, and I Lay My Love On You, have resonated with fans around the globe, including those in Vietnam.
